Woah! Ashley Bow has written an absolutely amazing debut book, I loved everything about Off Pitch and can’t wait to read about more of these characters!
With careers on the line Harlow and Knox decide to engage in a little fake dating to bolster their public personas… their only rule, no feelings. Should be easy enough since even though they’ve known each other forever they’ve barely spoken more than five sentences to each other. And both Knox and Harlow are right this relationship is as easy as breathing… except if this “fake dating” is that easy maybe it means there’s something deeper here, something in need of exploring. That is if they can each get out of their own ways and see that maybe just maybe fake dating turned to real romance isn’t just a trope for the books.
I absolutely adored everything about this book! The plot was phenomenal, the side characters and chosen family couldn’t have been any better, the romance was top notch… but what really sold this book for me was our two main characters! Harlow was just so positive and optimistic, as well as tough. As well as willing to stand by her family, blood, chosen or otherwise though thick and thin it was impossible not to love her! And of course than you had our grumpy, closed off didn’t want to be bothered pitcher Knox. Another character impossible not to love because while he may have been gruff with everyone else he absolutely melted just to try and make Harlow smile and her day just a bit easier or brighter. Ana all that care for Harlow started to rub off on his friends and change him into a better man. Together though these two were absolutely hilarious, they care for each other way deeper than just friendship, and their chemistry was thick enough to feel through the kindle screen!
So if you’re looking for a sports romance, featuring a grumpy/sunshine couple who thrive in all the right ways, hilarious side character as well as hilarious banter all throughout this book, just a touch of oh my goodness just to keep you on the edge of your seat, a touch of spice and a beyond enviable romance than be sure to grab your copy of Off Pitch today!
