Rory and Cole are really great friends. They’ve known each other for a few years and after some initial ‘love at first sight’ energy, Cole learns Rory is his coach’s daughter. Therefore, she’s off limits. But he wants to keep her in his life even if it means they can only be friends. So they begin one of the most refreshing friendships I’ve ever read. Don’t get me wrong, I still love a good enemies-to-lovers trope, but the friendship between these two is so natural and such a breath of fresh air to read. However, I loved that as I read, I could feel it as it slowly developed into something more. That initial attraction never went away-it hung in the background all those years, but you could also feel the turmoil these two experienced, not wanting to act on those feelings and jeopardize the friendship they have.

But we just know….we knooooow, the spice has to start spicing. There is no way these two can’t give in to each other. Their chemistry is just too good. And let me tell ya folks I was not expecting it to spice as spicy as it did. So let’s just say it was the best surprise. The dirty talk? The frequency? Yea, these two go at it like rabbits and I was here for it.

This book was such a delightful easy read. Ashley’s ability to write dialogue and dirty talk and then combine that with the hints dropped about future plots for the other characters…let’s just say I’m more than excited for the rest of the series.
